How it works:
In our typical secure access architecture, there are devices that
are installed at the entrance and the exit of the facility. Upon
entrance or exit, it takes just a second to identify and
authenticate a person and provide access for the enrolled users. The
biometric image is captured and compared to the secure template
stored in the database. This event is recorded and used, not only to
provide access to the facility, but it is also integrated with:•
Time Management component - biometric access events are displayed on
the timesheet for comparison to reported work hours, thus preventing
buddy punching.
• Transfer of authority – as a guardian enters the facility, their
picture, general information, and associated children are displayed
on the “Parental Portal”, greatly simplifying drop-in/check-in
procedures. Upon exit, the same mechanism is used to match the
identity of the guardian to that of accompanied children, and to
restrict the exit if mismatch is observed – providing both Access
and Egress control.
• Notifications - useful information is provided to the user in real
time by checking for messages or pertinent data for that user at
this specific time such as: meeting reminders, birthday reminders,
immunization reminders, and other messages.
